1. What this is
Psychoanalyzeme provides a suite of self-reflection instruments based on validated psychological research (PHQ-9, GAD-7, IPIP-50, AQ, ASRS, and others). These are not a medical diagnosis and not medical advice. They are educational instruments to support personal insight and self-reflection, and their results are personal-awareness signals, not clinical determinations.
If you are concerned about your mental health, please consult a qualified practitioner. If you are in crisis, see our crisis resources page.
2. Pricing & payment
The pricing model is:
- Short instruments (≤7 items — GAD-7, SWLS, UCLA-3) — R5 each. Your first short test is free.
- Longer instruments (PHQ-9, Big Five, HEXACO, AQ-50, ASRS, ECR-R, IRI, SD3, LSRP) — R8 each. These don't come with a free tier.
- Bundle — R49 one-time payment unlocks all 12 tests plus the cross-test AI narrative report (a 4–5 page synthesis available once you've completed at least 10 instruments; richer the more you take). Covers any new tests added later.
All payments are one-time. No subscriptions or recurring charges.
Refunds. Digital products are non-refundable once you have started a test, in line with section 44 of the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act — by initiating delivery of the digital service you waive the standard 7-day cooling-off period. For duplicate charges, or technical failures that prevented you from completing a test you paid for, contact info@psychoanalyzeme.co.za within 14 days for a full refund.
3. How we handle your data
Your answers are encrypted in your browser before they leave it. We can't read your responses, scores, or AI-written report — only you, with your passphrase, can decrypt them. If you forget your passphrase, your 24-word recovery phrase is the only way back in. See our Privacy Policy for the full data-handling story (lawful bases under POPIA, retention periods, subprocessors, your access / correction / deletion rights, and how to contact our Information Officer or lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator).
4. Acceptable use
- You must be at least 16 years old to take a test.
- Do not use these tools to assess anyone other than yourself. The tests are designed for first-person self-report.
- Do not present screening results as a diagnosis, to yourself or anyone else.
- Don't attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the test items — they are public-domain instruments, but our presentation, scoring algorithms, and visualisations are not.
5. Crisis & safety
If a screening result flags concerns (especially around self-harm), the site will interrupt the results display and present crisis resources. This is a safety feature, not a clinical assessment. If you or someone you care about is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency number or the appropriate hotline:
- South Africa — SADAG Suicide Crisis Line: 0800 567 567
- US — 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline: 988
- UK / Ireland — Samaritans: 116 123
- International — findahelpline.com
6. Limitation of liability
The screening tools are provided as-is, for educational use. We make no warranty that any score is accurate or applicable to your situation, and we accept no liability for decisions made on the basis of these results. Consult a qualified clinician before acting on any screening output.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
